UGP 287 - The Fruit of Living Out God’s Calling – Mike & Rosa – Part 3

Pastor Mike and Rosa Abbate share salvation stories from 18 years of ministry to the FLDS in LeBaron, Mexico. Mike notes LeBaron is 60 miles from an LDS temple in Colonia Juarez where George Romney and later Mitt grew up. First of the salvation stories is Lila LeBaron, now with the Adam’s Road ministry. Find her story on Episodes 78 & 79.  She heard the gospel at Mike and Rosa’s Bible study and gave her life to Jesus. Lila helped with Calvary Chapel LeBaron’s Sunday School and eventually worship where it was clear she had a gifted voice. By God’s grace and lots of prayers, she reached 18 unmarried. Mike tells young people in LeBaron that you belong to the Lord. Focus on the fact that Jesus is your groom and you are his promised bride.

One former member of the Calvary Chapel LeBaron Capilla Calvario congregation is at Moody Bible College. One felt led to go to England – York. Where the Lord calls, he provides. Lila's niece is in Bible College in Mexico. Two more youth are praying to be able to attend Bible College. Those who go bless their immediate and extended families greatly.

Pastor Mike gives this advice for witnessing to FLDS. Don’t argue. Don’t debate. Ask the Lord to give you a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and He will bring someone. If God lays someone on your heart, pray for them. Try to hold back until THEY are asking. Then they are ready to receive. We don’t convert. We are just messengers. God prepares their hearts. It’s His work for His glory.
